ergo: electronics
For over 30 years, we have been developing custom electronic systems for companies across a wide range of industries. Our solutions are used in situations where standard technology falls short and precision engineering is required.
Our clients operate in fields such as mechanical engineering, semiconductor technology, custom equipment manufacturing, and satellite communications. Many have been with us for decades. The same is true of our numerous employees, who have been part of our team for many years.
What We Stand For
High-tech standards that shine through in everyday use
Technical systems are truly valuable when they function reliably—even under demanding conditions. That is precisely what we focus on in our work. We combine in-depth electronics expertise with structured development processes and a clear commitment to quality. This results in solutions that are precisely tailored to our customers’ requirements and can be operated reliably over the long term.
Our goal is to make technical complexity manageable and to use it to develop robust, well-designed systems.
Our Mission
We develop highly complex technical systems with the goal of creating sustainable and forward-looking solutions. In doing so, we combine proven technology with new insights to offer our customers high-performance and durable products.
Our History
Technological expertise doesn't happen overnight. It develops over the years—through experience, projects, and continuous improvement.
Since our founding, ergo:elektronik has gradually evolved into a specialized partner for sophisticated electronic solutions.
Founding of ergo: elektronik
Ralph Leier and Michael Maurer, both graduate engineers, founded ergo: elektronik GbR in a 50-square-meter space and began working on their first electronic designs.
First expansion
We are expanding our office space to 300 square meters. With a team of five, we provide analysis, consulting, development, and implementation services for analog, digital, and power electronics.
Acquisition and establishment of ergo: power
The electronic test equipment and test system manufacturing division, which emerged from the former AEG, ALSTOM, and AREVA divisions in Ulm (AEG Team) at Industriepark West (the former AEG tube factory), is being acquired.
Merger and Relocation
ergo: power and ergo: elektronik are merging to form the new ergo: elektronik. Our workforce has grown to approximately 20 employees, and our production area now covers around 1,300 square meters.
Renewable Energy
ergo: elektronik is a member of the South-West Electric Mobility Cluster and the Fuel Cell Cluster BW . Through these clusters, we participate in research projects and independently develop new applications.
Today
With approximately 25–30 employees, ergo:elektronik develops its own projects and continues to expand its strategic partnerships. At the same time, we are investing in the enhancement of our internal processes and working toward the implementation of the DIN EN ISO 9100 and ISO 27001 standards.
Future Development
With our planned move at the end of 2026, we will establish the physical and technical foundations for our future work on a site spanning nearly 4,000 square meters. The project represents growth, technological advancement, and the modernization of our work and development environment.
